Dye industrial wastewater can be extremely difficult to treat because of chemical complexity. The dye chemicals are generally macromolecules with strong intra-molecular bonds. These dye chemicals exhibit color and high COD. To develop effective process for the treatment of dye industrial wastewater, several treatment processes have been advanced including chemical oxidation such as bleaching liquid and potassium permanganate, and biological processes such as activated sludge.
