Tilting pad thrust bearings

摘要

This paper is an extensive review of the published contributions on experimental and design research conducted on tilting pad thrust bearings. Past and recent bearing designs are reviewed with a special reference to large and PTFE-faced bearings, It also includes a brief discussion of bearing lubrication and monitoring techniques. Likely future trends in bearing development are highlighted as well.
