Feline lower urinary tract diseases are responsible for 2-13% (medium of 8%) of the whole number of cases attended at hospitals and universities in United States of America and Canada. In these 8% of the attended cat population showing hematuria, dysuria and pollakiuria, 63% represent idiopathic FLUID (Lekcharoensuk et al, 2001). The idiopathic FLUTD is characterized for intense hematuria, dysuria and pollakiuria. This is a syndrome, which the exact underlying cause cannot be identified (Lulich & Osborne, 1996). Therefore the terms idiopathic FLUTD and Feline |Urologic Syndrome (FUS) are used in the cases of the urinary tract disorders that the cause or the causes of the inferior urinary tract inflammation are unknown.
