Vacuum system for 750 kV DC Accelerator has been designed and installed at Centre for Advanced Technology (CAT). It is in continuous operation for the last one year. This system consists of a turbo molecular pump, one sputter ion pumps, two electro pneumatic gate valves, measuring gauges and instruments. This system evacuates electron gun, accelerating columns, four metre long beam line and extraction scanner of the accelerator to the order of 10~(-7) mbar before beam extraction and maintains a pressure of 10~(-6) mbar during beam extraction. Operational experience, effect of the leakage magnetic field of SIP on the beam extraction and present status of this system is discussed in this paper.
