摘要

Tribological performance evaluation of (Ti-Al)N coatings deposited by reactive magnetron sputtering on stainless steel substrate at various nitrogen flow ratios were performed on Plint make reciprocating ball-on-plate configuration. All the samples deposited were tested at 3 and 6N loads and at 5 and 15Hz frequencies for 10 and 30 minutes duration against hard chrome steel balls. Electrochemical evaluation was carried out by potentiodynamic polarization technique in 1N H_2SO_4 solution. Coatings have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, surface topography by SEM and surface hardness by Knoop microhardness tester.
