Recent applications of Topology and Group Theory in Condensed Matter

Interactions of Topology and Group Theory with Physics have a long and fruitful history. Investigation of new physical systems like membranes, nanotubes, fulerens and so on, lead to nonstandard mathematical problems at the cross-roads of topology, differential geometry and group theory.
