摘要

For many post-acquisition reform programs, there is a shortage of flight-like hardware. As a result, there is often no plan for a dedicated test facility for development and integration of space systems software. The problem can be exacerbated when the software is developed at different locations and by different contractors. To fill this need we have proposed a "virtual" Software Integration Lab (SIL) that consists of development flight-like units connected through dedicated landlines between the different facilities.
