'Eye-phone' - case study results from the application of videotelephony for blind people

This paper describes a field study of one blind person who used a specially developed mobile videophone with a wearable computer in order to be supported by a professional service centre operator to undertake a 3-day international return journey. The participant was able to engage in activities and modes of transport that he would not otherwise perform without co-located support.
