Building combined heat and power systems are examined that consider the building envelope with fuel cells and heat recovery. Here, the use of exergy analysis to evaluate different SOFC-BCHP system concepts is discussed. Exergy analysis can be complemented by pinch and economic analysis for obtaining optimal configurations.
