Choroidal calcifications and tubular renal syndroms. Report of two cases

Multiple choroidal calcifications in healthy eyes are most commonly due to parathyroid gland problems.Very recently rare cases of choroidal calcifications were reported in two renal syndroms, the Bartter and Gitelman ones (Marchini etal., 1997; Pierro etal., 1999). The patients are asymptomatic and the calcifications are discovered by chance during the fundus examination.
