Standardized echographic features in fadenoperation

Methods: Evaluation of the operated extraocular muscles was performed with standardized echography. All patients underwent a faden procedure on the medial rectus in one (10 patients) and both (13 patients) eyes. For each muscle, with standardized A scan, internal structure, reflectivity and the thickness was evaluated. With B scan the shape of the muscle and the distance of the center of the optic disc to the more posterior point were the muscle were in contact with the sclera (reference points) was evaluated and measured.
