摘要

Multiwalled nitrogen- doped carbon nanotubes (CNx) with N ~ 20 at% in average and boron+nitrogen- doped carbon nanotubes (CNxBy) with N ~ 17 at% and B ~ 9 at% in average have been synthesized using a spray pyrolysis method. Degrees of purity, homogeneity and yield have been estimated from a systematic inspection of the samples by scanning electron microscopy. Combined analyses with Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) and High Resolution imaging modes of transmission electron microscopy, and spatially resolved EELS measurements in a STEM have been performed in order to correlate spectroscopic information with structural features at the nanometer scale.
