AIRBREATHING ENGINE GROUND TEST CAPABILITY AT THE NASA GLENN RESEARCH CENTER

The NASA Glenn Research Center’s (GRC) suite of aeronautics propulsion ground testing capabilities, including propulsion wind tunnels, turbine engine test facilities, noise, emissions, and atmospheric environmental simulation and measurement facilities, and engine component test cells represent NASA’s and the U.S. Governments commitment to provide state-ofthe- art tools and resources to the aeronautics propulsion industry. The GRC suite of facilities, their technical performance capabilities, and recent improvements to increase their capabilities, productivity and value are described in this paper.
