Experiences with Ultrasonic Flow Meters Applied to Small Hydro Power Plants

This work presents the experience of the authors in the utilization of ultra-sonic flow meters in SHP, seeking a cost reduction in acceptance tests. The paper presents several on-line and off-line flow measurement methods that can be applied, including short theoretical principles and comparisons regarding their uncertainty, easy of application, cost and effectiveness. The paper will also show several illustrations of real study cases.
