The Transition from Developing Industry To Secondary, Aluminum Force Using Leading Edge Technology

The Developed Western World takes for granted its exposure to advanced aluminum processing technology by virtue of access to trade shows, technical literature, magazines and the freedom of travel to aluminum processing plants around the world. The simple ability to have access to this knowledge has not been widely available to develop mg countries until recently. I remember when I started as an engineer in 1975 and the stories I heard of how the recycling of aluminum began in the US and the rest of Europe by the scrap dealers walking around and collecting scrap from the streets, backs of factories, landfills and the like. This is the story of what has been recently taking place in China, South East Asia, Russia, Brazil and many more of the sleep mg industrial giants. The times are changing. These giants are not far from becoming major players in the secondary aluminum industry.
