摘要

This paper describes the aptitude of a multisensor system for pollution gas detection such as H{sub}2S and NO{sub}2 in the industrial area. For this aim a six metal oxide sensor array is chosen and an important characterization is done considering various concentrations of the studied gases alone or mixed in wet synthetic air containing CO{sub}2. The performance of the system is verified by extracting from each gas sensor response three non-redundant representative variables and analyzing them by a linear pattern recognition method as the Discriminant Factorial Analysis. Experimental results show the ability of our system to quantify H{sub}2S and NO{sub}2 in the range of industrial pollution concentration. Unknown atmospheres were successfully classified using the decisive law generated by this analysis method.
