Waveguide finite elements enable wave solutions for complex unidirectional structures. The wave solutions are comprised of complex valued wavenumbers and corresponding cross-sectional mode shapes, thus describing the waves. In this paper new waveguide finite elements for fluid and fluid-shell coupling are described. The coupling elements are used in conjunction with previously described shell elements, so that fully coupled problems can be solved. Elements both for straight and curved waveguides are considered. Dispersion relations for a straight cylindrical fluid-filled pipe are used as validation for the straight-elements. Dispersion relations for a radius pipe bend, for which no published work has been found, are also given.
