Wheat cultivars originating from Poland and other European countries, accessions having Lr and Pm resistance genes were scored for resistance against Fusarium culmorum, Blumeria graminis and Puccinia triticina under field conditions. Accessions and cultivars exhibited significant difference in susceptibility to mentioned pathogens. DNA extracts from seedlings were examined using Sequence Tagged Site (STS) for 11 markers: Lrl, Lr9, LrlO, Lrl9, Lr24, Lr26, Lr28, Lr35 Lr37, Lr39 and Lr 47 resistance genes. Resistance gene markers LrlO , Lr3 7 and Lr 47 were examined in segregating progeny of cultivars Kris, Clever and Pavon Lr47 and Yecora RoyoLr47. The results were compared with resistance gene postulations , based on multipathotype testing. Markers for resistance genes Pml, Pm2, Pm3 and Pml3 were identified in accessions and cultivars having mentioned genes, as well as in cultivars, where mentioned genes were not present. Occurrence of various alleles of marker gene may explain disagreement betweenresults of STS markers and the results of the reaction type. SSR markers for FHB resistance loci were identified in progeny of resistant and susceptible accessions. Markers for Lr9, LrlO, Lr26 and Lr37 may be useful in marker-assisted breeding. Markers for Lrl, Lr28 and Lr 35 were improved and new primers for these markers are under verification process.
