摘要

The increasing global competition forces the manufacturing enterprises to work more and more productively in order to survive in the world market. At the same time, the market demands an increasing customization of products, resulting in an increasing number of products and variants. Thus manufacturing systems is required to provide both high flexibility and high productivity. To meet these, a new concept for creating of machine tools and systems namely the reconfigurable manufacturing systems (RMS) must be implemented. In this paper a development of RMS for processing of diesel engine cylinder block is presented. For optimal scheduling of the proposed system the Generalized Net approach is used. The main results are presented and discussed.
