The development of internet-based basic planning system for ships

摘要

In order to maintain and improve the shipbuilding industry in 21st century, continuous improvement of design and construction efficiency through integration with information technology is required. However, in case of small and medium sized shipyards, most of the design/construction process is still manually done. In this paper, a concurrent engineering and Internet technology based design support system is implemented for the small and medium sized shipyards.
