Bulk amorphous Ti-based alloys were found to be formed in the diameter range up to 5 mm for the Ti-Ni-Cu-Sn and Ti-Ni-Si-B systems which satisfy the three empirical rules for the achievement of high glass-forming ability (GFA). No difference in the thermal stability of the supercooled liquid and the crystallizatio process is seen between the cast bulk and the melt-spun amorphous alloys. The compressive fracture strength is nearly the same as the tensile fracture struength of the corresponding melt-spun amorphous alloy reibbon, while the tensile fracture strength of the bulk amorphous alloy is lower by 20 to 25
