THE 'NEW' BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT APM SYSTEM

摘要

The implementation of the CABLE Liner Shuttle System at the Birmingham Airport is described in this paper. The project has been completed on time and within budget. This people mover system demonstrates its flexibility to be fitted into existing fixed facilities which can pose challenging constraints. It is shown that this smaller and simpler system is well suited for a medium size airport which must optimize its financial exposure.
