Because of the near similarity between pyrazole and the imidazol of the amino acid histidine , the polypyrazolyborate ligands are suitable for the synthesis as model compounds of several metaloproteins such as superoxid dismutase, hemerythrin and hemocynin. [Et_4 N]_2 [(Bp')CuMoS_4Cu_2(μ-Bp')_2 Cu_2MoS_4Cu(Bp')] (Fig.1) is the first complex containing both Bp'[ Bp'= H_2B(3,5-Me_2Pz)_2] and [MoS_4]~(-2) ligands offering a potential model of copper proteins . In this srructure the copper (I) atoms have two different geometries: 3-coordinated by two S of thiiomolybdate and one N of bridging Bp', and 4-coordinate by two S of thiiomoybdate and two N terminal Bp'.
