By changing phosphate amounts in patching materials, individual properties are measured. Among the specimens, No.4 showed the best results and applied to the actual kilns. From the results, as expected, superior resistance to explosion, adhering strength and resistance to abrasion were confirmed. These characteristics shows the developed self-hardened patching material is suited for the kilns such as cement kilns or incinerators of which heating up schedule is fast and curing time after repair is short. Recently, ecology has been one of the most important issues. The needs of patching materials are high. We continue studying patching materials to meet the increasing demands for the application of various kilns and excellent performance.
