Rhythmical and banded veins at silver-lead-zinc deposits of the Kolyma-Verkhoyansk fold belt, Russia: Implications for fluid boiling

摘要

Possible mechanisms for the formations of rhythmically zoned aggregates in Sn―Pb―Ag deposits in the Verchoyansk Belt are considered. Zonal structures at various scales have been studied, from vein fabrics to oscillatory zoning of mineral grains. It is concluded that the most likely formation mechanism for the studied banded fabrics is fluid boiling.
