The absorption spectra and the optical damage resistance ability of the In:Fe:LiNbO_3 crystals grown by Czochralski method with different concentration of In_2O_3 were measured. The absorption edges of the absorption spectra of the In:Fe:LiNbO_3 crystals shift to the short wavenumbers with the concentration of the In_2O_3 in the crystal increasing. The optical damage resistance ability of the In(3mol%):Fe:LiNbO_3 crystal is two orders magnitude higher than that of Fe:LiNbO_3 crystal. The response speed of the In:Fe:LiNbO_3 crystals increases with the concentration of the In_2O_3 in the crystal increasing on the contrary, the diffraction efficiency decreases.
