In order to compare brain-imaging measurements from different subjects, brain-mapping algorithms are commonly used to register individual brain onto a standardized brain template. In this study, SPM99 is used to construct a spatially standardized template consisting of several spatially standardized high-resolution, T2-weighted mouse brain MRI's, and the global precision and local accuracy of the proposed spatial deformation strategy is evaluated. This study provides a foundation for the generation of statistical brain maps from mouse brain images.
