In keeping with the overall shift in medicine to more minimally invasive techniques, The Heart Institute of Staten Island University Hospital started doing traditional Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (TCABGs) through a minimally invasive approach, called Multi-vessel Small Vessel Thoracotomy (MVST) and has successfully performed the same in numerous patients over the last 4 years.
