Pulse power supplies are identified as one of the key technology restricting the development of the electric gun. The linear magnetic flux compression generator (LMFCG) is a direction in which a new land of pulse power supply is being developed for the electric gun application. A mathematical model of the LMFCG is built in this paper. A simulation code was developed and the results show that the LMFCG can produce the tailored millisecond current pulse for ETC gun use.
