The effects of Pt particle diameter and depth distribution of Pt particles on the catalyst activity were investigated for Catalytic Wet Air Oxidation of acetic acid. Both Pt impregnation near the surface of the support and small particle sizes enhance the performance of the catalysts at mild conditions (165 °C, 0.9MPaG).
