The catalytic activity of the [bmim]Cl/AlCl_3 ILs is much higher than that of the AlCl_3 catalyst for the alkylation of the diphenyloxide with dodecene. The yield of the monoalkyldiphenyloxides is close to 90% when the [bmim]Cl/AlCl_3 (X=0.60) is used as catalyst in this process under moderate conditions. The higher yield of the monoalkyldiphenyloxides can be obtained at reaction temperature controlled about 80°C, molar ratio of diphenyloxide to dodecene is about 8.
