Cubic mesoporous aluminosilicate(AlMB48) with enhanced acidity was synthesized by two-step crystallization and characterized by XRD, N2 physical adsorption-desorption, ~(27)Al MAS NMR , IR and NH_3-TPD methods. AlMB48 possessing stronger acid centers showed higher activity for the cumene cracking and the catalytic alkylation of 2,4-ditert-butylphenol with tert-butanol than conventional mesoporous materials.
