In-situ response of asphalt pavement under moving load

摘要

In this study, test pavement with instrumentation was constructed in a national roadway, and investigation on earth pressure and strain developed by a loading-vehicle has been undertaken in order to grasp the real response of asphalt pavement under moving load. It is shown how the pulses of earth pressure and strain induced by a moving loading-vehicle are influenced by both the vehicle's speed and the temperature of asphalt layers and also by the passage location of vehicle relative to the instrumentation alignment.
