Together with the previous works, the present results establish that the extended mixed-valence complex is maintained in organic media, by complexation with suitably designed anionic amphiphiles. Tuning of solubility, morphology and thermal characteristics of the supramplecular complex can be achieved by the use of suitably designed "packaging" amphiphiles. The double-chained amphiphile affords fine nano-fibrous structures and is conceived as a better molecular design as organic package molecules. It is also apparent that photoinduced electron transfer or energy transfer occurs between the aligned naphthalene chromophores and inorganic main chains, giving rise to photo-control of one-dimensional electronic states. The design of organic-inorganic electronic interactions would provide new functions in mesoscopic supramolecular assemblies.
