With reference to the fatigue life of the bearings, hollow-ratios of hollow, cylindrical roller bearings without preloads were optimised by means of FE analysis. The results were used as a reference for the design of the hollow roller bearings. Design enables the full use of the advantages of the hollow roller bearings.
