Aiming at the needs of the enterprise for a great number of aircraft model, short period of researching and developing, high quality requirements and lower cost as well as the underdeveloped situation on design and management that does not adopt the computer on process work, the leadership decided to start the CAPP program. This program covers the whole process work of the airplane manufacturing enterprise, and develops function model of the process design, the process information management, the process flow control and material quantum management etc. "What you see is what you get" has come true. The program introduces the networking and open-ended system as well as the Oracle database and C/S method in order to realize the dynamic connection among engineering database existed in the enterprise. Intelligent technology is also adopted with the result that the automation of function has brought into effect. With structured and modeling product process data for core, the program has guaranteed the single process data source and provided integrated interface to order the tool quickly. At present this program is applied in the process area overall in order to resolve some issues as well a great amount of process design work, repeating work, long cycle, and high error rate as also the process experiences cannot be accumulated and the information cannot be shared. It has created good economic benefits for the enterprise.
