The 21st Century Strategy for the Yellow River Harnessing with 'Three Yellow River' Construction Project

Based on the systematical analysis of the Yellow River harnessing and developing, the strategy for the Yellow River management of 21st century was proposed in the paper. The strategy of the "Three Yellow River" construction is a history benchmark from traditional river management to modern management of integrated Yellow River management. We have experienced great success and some lessons in river basin management from river controlling and training works, water resources management, flood protection, sediment control, water and soil conservation of the strategy of the Yellow River Basin management.
