Development of a High Performance Li Complex Grease without Using Additives which Contain Heavy Metals

This paper reports the development of a high performance Li complex grease without the use of heavy metal containing additives. Three ASTM tests were used as metrics for this high performance development. Seven additive components and three full commercial packages were used to generate the grease blending matrix. A description of these materials and the method followed in the development will be discussed. Finally, the test results and other observations will be presented.
