Organizations easily find many Six Sigma projects in the beginning of their efforts. These projects typically pay off very handsomely and contribute to the bottom line in critically important ways. These projects may sometimes be described as picking the "low-hanging fruit" because they are rather easy to spot and generally are well known by most people. Getting support to work on these projects is seldom a problem because they are well known and because a clear path to improvement is obvious.
