At the 55th AQC of the ASQ, the State of Rio Grande do Sul Quality Association PGQP, Brazil, made a successful presentation on "Implementation of a Regional Quality Program," which was very well received by all participants. For the 56th Conference, PGQP has prepared a case presentation describing its use of the Internet as a tool for work and communication. So as to expand the current knowledge concerning the Program and to develop an effective channel for communication and integration between the companies enrolled in PGQP, the Association is implementing the second step of its online strategy, whose implementation began in 1998 with the release of an institutional website that receives approximately 13,000 clicks/month. In a large planning process, which began in December 2000, PGQP has decided to design a new Internet project: PortalQualidade.com. Its development started in May 2001 and it was released on October 1st 2001. Nowadays, PortalQualidade.com is a vertical portal featuring contents on total quality management ranging across a wide range of information services and interactive options for PGQP member companies and people interested in total quality management, in Portuguese.
