This paper cannot consider every health and safety issue that may arise through the supply and use of investment casting waxes. The author hopes, however, that the information presented will give wax users a basic understanding of the factors involved and will let them identify and prioritise any issues that might arise. Much of the information provided is generic and wax users should be aware of the requirements of their local health and safety legislation when considering wax issues. Wax manufacturers should be ready to supply relevant information; a reputable supplier will readily work with its customers to resolve any product related health and safety questions.
