AeroSlide cylinders provide the fluid power industry with unique characteristics that are not available with conventional metallic cylinders. Improved tribological features of the bore surface make the composite cylinder more "seal friendly," increasing cylinder life and performance. Corrosion resistance, high strength, light weight, dielectric and fatigue resistance are among other unique features discussed. Case studies are presented that compare performance criteria of AeroSlide to metallic cylinders.
