Hydraulic systems on telehandlers have only incrementally changed in the last 15 years. Distributed electro-hydraulic poppet valves and controls allows for an improved or equivalent level of productivity, efficiency, controllability, reliability, safety and flexibility at the same system cost as current solutions. The objective of this paper is to describe how these advantages are achieved with a distributed electo-hydraulic system. Distributed electro-hydraulic systems are being pursued by hydraulic controls manufacturers. One example of a distributed electro-hydraulic system is the INCOVA (Intelligent Control Valve) system by HUSCO.
