摘要

This paper illustrates the design of narrowband random waveforms, based upon the synthesis of their wideband prototypes. Both Gaussian and non-Gaussian noise waveforms are employed in the synthesis of the prototypes. The decomposition of a broadband wave into a set of narrowband waves approximated by random pulse trains generates the prototype. Its scaling is performed by the stretching of the duration of the pulse trains prior to their potential shaping by weighting functions. Extensive graphics supported by error evaluation proves the viability of the concept.
