32' under-gate CNT cathode for large TV applications

摘要

FED is generally described as a device to have CRT-like image qualities andlow power consumption and is expected to be a candidate for large-size flat panel display. Therefore the important subject will be to find the most cost-effective way to produce FED panels with large screen size. As a preliminary study, the CNT-FED(cFED) sample with a 7" gated cathode exhibited the good display quality[1]. Such successful demonstrations indicated that cFED could be the direction for FED to achieve the subject of cost-effective panels.
