A versatile electromagnetic computational algorithm, based on the FD-TD technique, is employed to provide a systematic design and analysis tool for slotted waveguide (WG) applicators Longitudinally oriented, single slots and slot-pair configurations are analyzed at a frequency of 915 MHz. Numerical results are presented to exploit the influence of the constitutive parameters of the processed material on the resonant length, scattering parameters, and exterior near-field distributions.
