Recently, broadband networks have been growing in popularity because of the spread of the Internet, driving demand for larger-capacity equipment and higher-frequency signaling capability. For reasons of cost, copper connectors must be developed to accommodate the higher frequency signals. Furthermore, the increasing demand for bandwidth requires connectors that can accommodate a higher density pin count. This connector is a new higher density back-plane connector for differential data signal transfer that meets the requirements described above.
