Duration of immunity (DOI) studies of bivalent swine influenza vaccine EndFluence II~(R)

Swine influenza, a major pathogen associated with Porcine Respiratory Disease Syndrome (PRDC), is caused by a type A swine influenza virus (SIV). For the last several decades, subtype H1N1 had been the only SIV subtype circulating among swine herds inthe US. Subtype H3N2 was first reported in North Carolina and it has since been spreading in most states in the US. In 1999, subtype H1N2 SIV was diagnosed to be associated with clinical swine influenza disease. Recent studies showed that subtypes H1N1and H3N2 are the two dominating subtypes in the clinical swine influenza disease.
