The identification of T cell epitopes is a principle step for the understanding of the T cell response against tumors,pathogenic micoorganisms and,autologous tissues.MHC molecules on the surface of antigen presenting cells (APC) present peptide fragments derived from foreign proteins and display them to lymphocytes.Once a T cell target protein is defined,T cell epitopes can be mapped with synthetic peptide libraries syntheesized according to the known sequence of the target protein [1,2].
