Conformational studies of leptin fragments by circular dichroism

摘要

The adipocyte-derived protein hromone inhibits food intake and increases energy expenditure through brain receptors in the hypothalamus.This protein contains 146 amino acids and shows high identity among the mammals.Leptin receptor belongs to the class I cytokine receptor family that are found in many hypothalamic regions including arcuate,paraventricular and ventromedial nuclei.
